In the night, strange figures are born at the moment of sleep and disappear.
In the night there are the wonders of the world.
In the night there are no guardian angels but only sleep.
In the night you are there. And even during the day.
Are you coming back tomorrow too?
Artistic research
TORNI ANCHE DOMANI? (ARE YOU COMING BACK TOMORROW?) is the performance of the Recanati 2024 Summer Laboratory.
On stage are the women and men who participated in twenty meetings in a workshop on personal expressiveness, encounters with others, group dynamics and joy, through the performative and poetic language of Bocchi/Scarrocchia.
Each participant initially interpreted this research in a personal way, then as a couple and finally collectively, to immerse themselves in an exploratory dimension of non-dance dance and physical gesture.
What was produced starting from the living material, the improvisations and the expressiveness of each participant is a choreographic performance that works in subtraction from words, without denying it, but capturing its perceptive and sensorial rather than linguistic data.
A performance that is the result of a relational process that at the same time asks and seeks a relationship with the spectator. A meeting that requires presence, which requires maintaining the pleasure of understanding, knowing, browsing and the desire to communicate. A meeting that also asks for a return. Are you coming back tomorrow too?
