contemporary tradition
The laboratory, from January to September 2025, will be involved in the project CONTEMPORARY TRADITION New languages to narrate traditions in the contemporary world.
The project will develop starting from oral traditions understood as narratives of memory which, if they do not find adequate tools and methods of transmission in the contemporary world, risk disappearing, because tradition is a story and if you have no one to tell it to, it is as if it had never happened. existed.
The project is structured as follows:
• Collection of direct testimonies (oral, written or archive documents) relating to the tradition.
• Dramaturgical and choreographic writing (of the testimonies collected) through the languages of performance, physical theater and contemporary dance.
• Short performances in the summer period which will culminate in a final performance on 13 and 14 September 2025 in Recanati.
• Creation of a Docufilm.
