TANZ

Synopsis

We can be stared at and lynched, forcefully observed to turn us into never-before-seen Capodimonte statuettes. We can stand close to be measured, to know exactly how many teeth we have in our mouths, and we wonder every minute we spend here if there's something in that person's head or if all the devils have stumbled inside that person and, in an orderly fashion, sat down, never to leave again.
The world we live in is without history, a slaughterhouse and a madhouse where human beings are silenced but, in their resignation, do not give up their desires and the pursuit of happiness.

Artistic research

TANZ stages biographies of a non-existence, centered on the human being with all his weaknesses and strengths, his fears and anxieties, but also his dreams and desires. Within the scenic context, the images and scenes document the intermediate spheres of feelings, the gray areas of our impoverished sensory world.
In TANZ, Agnese Bocchi's choreography follows a dynamic that does not correspond to logic but to a musical thought that invites the spectator to dance, dance, and dance the life again.
