Solo per Agnese

Synopsis

Solo per Agnese (Only for Agnese) is a passionate dedication to the woman of my life in the form of a contemporary dance solo, a theatrical monologue in the form of an internal dialogue, a coming-of-age performance, and an autobiographical story. This dedication focuses on various stages of my life leading up to our meeting.
I was already a grown-up when I was little. At six I had house keys, at eight I was shopping, and at eleven I was driving a car. Then, then, then...then I was a grown-up, but before I grew up, I was alone, and it was dark.

Artistic research

Solo per Agnese was born from a 20-minute solo selected for the Premio Scenario 2025, and it is a present I dedicate to you with the language you taught me: shifting words to amplify meanings, looking at complex words and making great things simple. Theater is cinema, cinema is visual art, life is theater, dance is non-dance. This dance that doesn't dance and this theater that is cinema.
In Solo per Agnese, memory is a flood: you are born alone, you live alone, you die alone. Acknowledging it is brutal, but you are not alone in being alone.
Whose are you?
I am Solo per Agnese.
