Artistic research
I pesci grandi mangiano i pesci piccoli (big fish eat small fish) is a dramaturgy conceived by Agnese Bocchi to reflect on the state of mental health in our society.
It was conceived in 2018 after fourty years by the law 180 Basaglia become law.
This law closed the pshycatric hospitals in Italy as first country in the world.
In 2018 we call to act all the people who from 2006 to 2018 had participated as actors and collaborators for Piccolo Teatro Per in collaboration with the association for mental health "Piccoli Passi Per…".
With the forty people who decided to take part we built a performance which we repeated for four hours in a row, inside the former psychiatric hospital in the city of Bergamo .
